Invid Laser Pistol Type IIOrganic Laser Pistol Type II [R3]

Like the CVR-3 Body Armor, the Stage 6 Invid also emulated some of the resistance fighters’ hand weapons. Although they already had a simple energy pistol for use by humanoid Invid, the leader Invid came up with additional weapons for use in the field or outside of their mecha.

The Type II Pistol is a more compact version of the older Organic Laser Pistol (see Homefront, pg. 210), designed to be the new standard handgun for humanoid Invid. Most Stage 5 and Stage 6 Invid will have a pistol of this type on them at all times.

The pistol is powered by a special protoculture cell and is not compatible with energy clips. It can fire 50 shots before needing minutes to recharge, or being recharged by a Mecha’s power generator.  It ignores 1 point of enemy Armor and has a Range of Short. [P1]

Like the H-90 Gallant, this pistol can fire more powerful shots with a simple flick of a switch.  Doing so extends the weapon’s range, and it ignores 2 points of enemy Armor by expending 5 charges. [E] [P2]

Invid Laser Rifle Type IIOrganic Laser Rifle Type II [R4]

A heavier weapon used by Stage 4 (unarmored), Stage 5, and Stage 6 Invid. Like the standard Organic Laser Rifle (see Homefront, pg. 210) this energy rifle can also do varying amounts of damage by expending more shots. However, additional power levels are available, including a stun version for capturing live specimens/prisoners. The Energy Rifle is powered by a special protoculture cell and is not compatible with energy clips.

The Type II rifle ignores 1 point of enemy Armor and has a Range of Medium and gains an Edge to Attacks due to its Light Structure and pinpoint accuracy. It can fire 80 shots before needing to be recharged, which takes minutes. It can also be refilled via a fuel cell or directly from a Mecha’s power generator. [P1]

If 4 shots are expended to Attack, the Rifle’s Range is Extended, and it ignores 2 points of the target’s Armor. [E] [P2]

Alternatively, the Type II rifle can fire a stun blast. This uses 1 shot and interacts with their nervous system, temporarily shutting them down. A person affected feels weak and loses coordination.
