Invid Imperial Suit [R6]
Like their UEEF counterparts, Stage 6 Invid pilots often wear body armor while piloting their mecha for additional protection. As such, this streamlined Suit was designed for Imperial (Stage 6) Invid and serves as a Pilot Suit. The Suit self-heals small punctures. It offers a Light-Class protection of 3. This Armor provides ablative protection from Light-Class weapons. (See Robotech: Macross, pg. 122).
(The two Stage 6 Invid depicted elsewhere are wearing this armor.)

Paladin Combat Armor
Early in the Third Invid War, the Stage 6 Invid began examining the mecha and tactics of the UEEF personnel and freedom fighters who fought them. Inevitably, the leader Invid started to emulate the resistance, building their own versions of some of the humans’ common tools and equipment. One of the earliest pieces of human technology to be copied was the CVR-3 Cyclone Body Armor, which resulted in a new type of Invid Body Armor for use by Stage 5 and Stage 6 Invid: Paladin Combat Armor. The resistance so-named the armor because it resembles a medieval knight’s plate armor.
Like the CVR-3 Armor, the Paladin Combat Armor is a durable and lightweight containment suit that covers the entire body. However, the Invid armor is made mostly of chitin-like ceramic alloys and plates rather than the metal and Kevlar of the UEEF version. The Paladin’s helmet lens has an iris that automatically seals against bright, blinding light. This protects the wearer from damage to their vision and prolonged blinding effects but renders them unable to see out while the iris is closed. The lens also provides low-light and infrared vision when desired.
Humans in Invid Body Armor
A human or humanoid of a similar build can wear Invid body armor. Doing so provides the wearer with all of the armor’s advantages. However, the wearer will not fool other Invid into believing they are a Stage 5 or Stage 6 Invid by doing so. Their access to the Hive Mind allows Invid to quickly detect whether the wearer is not also Invid.
There are two different versions: one for Stage 5 Invid and one for Stage 6. The Stage 6 version is slightly stronger and offers better protection than the Stage 5 version. The suits are otherwise functionally identical. (The male and female versions are also slightly aesthetically different.) Unlike the Invid Soldier’s armor, the Paladin is not a powered exoskeleton. The armor does not increase the wearer’s Strength, Agility, or Endurance.

Paladin Combat Armor, Stage 6 [R6]
- 4 Light-Class Armor.
- May take 1 ablative hit from mecha-class weapons.
- Resist 1.
Personal Combat Shield [R5]
This is a smaller version of the energy shield carried by the Invid Enforcer and Sentinel mecha. The shield is oval, measuring 3 feet long by 1 foot wide. The shield resembles some of the shields used by Southern Cross troops. The Personal Combat Shield may be destroyed to negate all damage taken from a non-area-based Attack. This destroys the shield, and it cannot be used further. Invid Body Armor can only hold one of these at a time.
