A data-heavy screen that required identifying, differentiating, and tracking many text variables, both within the page and across the page series.
This screen featured several menu layers and numerous controls, including switches and dropdown menus. One of the issues was that some of the data overlapped with data in the page series and appeared directly on the same page, but was presented differently. This required tracking many variables across different pages to ensure they were clearly identified and differentiated, both for optimal user experience and for WCAG compliance.
A lot of information is being thrown at the user on this page. It had to be separated and identified clearly. User tracking was also critical, as the many controls could cause the data to change in real-time. We had to ensure the aria labels and hidden text were very clear so screen reader users wouldn’t become lost as data shifted.
